In this ninety-minute training course, attendees will learn how to better manage the politics of the field of Human Resources and dissect the unique position of HR professionals in the best effort to balance the strategic needs of the organization with those of the employees and other stakeholders.

HR professionals have such a unique responsibility within an organization.  They are expected to be approachable by both employees and key leaders, but also must be able to switch gears at a moment’s notice to have some of the most difficult conversations in the organization.  They must find the balance of being both compassionate but also strategic and operationally focused.  These factors (along with many others) put the role of the HR professional as one of the most political roles within any organization.

Attendees at this presentation will learn how to get un-stuck from the politics of HR so they can train and empower others in communication and leadership techniques so that employees and their supervisors can handle many issues before they escalate to Human Resources.  Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the HR role within an organization.  The goal is to leverage that role to create an environment where employees take responsibility for their own actions and hold each other accountable so that the HR professional can have an opportunity to focus their attention at the organizational level to provide the greatest return on the organization’s investment.
