Safety Director - Timber Products Company
Tanya is the Safety Director for Timber Products Company. As the Safety Director she is involved in the safety, health and wellness of over 1100 employees around the country within five states. Tanya's first position in safety was the HR & Safety Manager for SierraPine-Medite Division. She has worked in the field of Human Resources since 2002 with positions such as Staffing Supervisor, Recruiter, HR Assistant, Operations Supervisor, HR & Safety Manager and Safety Director.
Tanya holds an AA degree in Business (2007), a BS in Business Management (2009), a Human Resources Management Certificate (2009) and a Health & Safety Leadership Certificate (2013). Tanya earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) in June 2011. Tanya was awarded her SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) in 2014.
Tanya's has been serving on the Rogue Valley SHRM board since 2011. In 2018 she serves as the Secretary. The roles she held previously are President, Membership Director, Foundation Director, Programs Director for two years and the SHAPE Director for three years. Tanya served on the Rogue Workforce Partnership board for three years and still is actively involved with specific RWP committees. RWP is a local board of private and public sector businesses established to help shape and grow our economic community and offers training, growth and development of our valley's high school students and area talent. She volunteers with the STEM Alliance (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) and RAMP UP (Rogue Advanced Manufacturing Partnership). Tanya serves on the local Southern Oregon American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) board. Tanya is the Vice Chair for the Redwood Safety Association for the past two years. In 2016 she was the Southern Oregon Safety Conference Chair. Tanya is very active in her community with all things HR and Safety related. She enjoys giving back to others, as when she first started her HR and Safety career, others helped her along the way.
