Dr. David Foster of Western Oregon University will provide our Chapter with not only a unique program, but a special opportunity to assess your own creative behaviors. Dr. Foster’s research lab has developed a new and validated Creative Behavior Survey (CBS) related to leading with creativity and innovation. Registrants will be provided a link to this FREE assessment and they will receive individualized results!

In today’s professional environment, research suggests that creativity as a leadership skill outweighs competencies such as integrity and global thinking. The need for creativity and innovation is becoming progressively more important. Fostering creativity is essential for growth and critical in adapting to change. The ability to use your imagination to create something new through innovation may well lead to what sets you apart and allow your organization to thrive. You have the power to influence your workplace culture and create conditions to foster creativity and innovation.

By attending this program, you’ll learn more about your own creativity, your strengths, weaknesses, and how to enhance this skill. You will understand the creative process, how the CBS fits within that framework, and how to interpret your CBS results. You’ll also gain a better understanding of team climate variables that affect creative behavior.

    Program Takeaways:

    • A better sense of what creativity is (and isn’t)
    • Knowledge of your personal creative strengths and weaknesses
    • Knowledge of how to assemble and develop a team to enhance creativity
    • Techniques you can use to enhance your own personal creativity
