    About the Presenter:  Ron Kohl, President of Southern Oregon Veterans Benefit (SOVB)

    I have 30 years Law Enforcement experience and attended three Police Academies.  Positions held include SWAT Team, Tactical Operations, Director of Crime Prevention, Detective, Armed Assault Team Leader and Academy Instructor.

    I am a volunteer with the Ashland Police Department as their Crime Prevention Specialist. I am a certified Crime Prevention Specialist through Florida Attorney General’s Office and achieved certification in a number of fields.  I teach crime prevention through Ashland Police Department, City of Medford, City of Central Point and City of Shady Cove.

    In addition to Law Enforcement Experience I have 25 years of Military and retired as a Drill Sergeant.  I was in the Air Force Security Force and later transferred to the Army and held a number of leadership positions throughout my full military career.
