This program is the culmination of a three-year study conducted by John Underwood, and presented in two previous Rogue Valley SHRM programs, to address the very current issue of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. John’s previous programs focused on the roots of racism and the institutionalization, over the course of our country’s history, of the effects of racism on black America and on other persons of color. John’s has shared his personal journey into this topic, which was sparked by his reaction to the term “white privilege.” His intention and study to prove this developing concept wrong, turned his thinking to the opposite view!
This emotional journey, fueled by facts and data, has come to conclusion. This presentation will require participants to “get real” and to deeply consider the “Now What” part of the story from a personal, organizational and national level.
What attendees have said about John’s past Diversity sessions:
- “This has profoundly changed my view on life and where I stand on things and what I know or thought to be true.”
- “This was one of the most valuable SHRM presentations I have attended…”
Join us for a learning event that will surely shift your paradigm on this topic.
