Corporate Human Resources/Loss Control Manager
This position, based in Medford, Oregon, is responsible for assessment, development, implementation, oversight and administration of HR, safety, workers compensation and loss control programs at Naumes, Inc. to meet company operational and financial goals. This is a professional level position working closely with the executive management team in supporting designated geographic regions in California, Oregon and Washington. This position guides managers, supervisors, and employees regarding HR, health, safety, workers compensation and loss control programs and practices. This manager ensures regulatory and legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records and representing the organization with local, state and federal agencies and at hearings. The functional areas covered by this position include but are not limited to: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy creation and implementation, recruitment, employment, H-2A program management, benefits, ADAAA, leave, affirmative action, workers compensation claims administration, early return to work, preferred worker program, workers compensation claims reimbursement programs, hazard identification and mitigation programs, risk assessment, loss control and reduction programs and OSHA law compliance.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Safety, Loss Control, Risk Management, Business or closely related field with a minimum of 5 years related work experience, preferably in an agricultural or food manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience. A certification in Human Resources, Safety, Loss Control or Risk Management is desired. Requires a comprehensive knowledge of legal and technical requirements for compliance in employment, workers compensation, safety and loss control. Must have the ability to research, analyze, interpret and develop complex statistical, regulatory and legal information. Must have intermediate or advanced computer skills and the ability to learn and use company software. Must have a valid Oregon driver’s license and a clean DMV report to drive a company vehicle. Travel is required for this position: local 25% with 10% travel out of area with occasional overnight stays. Bilingual verbal and written communication skills are desired.

Part-Time Recruiter
Erickson is searching for an experienced part-time recruiter to focus on candidate attraction and candidate management in the aviation field.
As a Recruiter your daily duties will involve:
- Providing recruitment and resourcing support for our Worldwide operations
- Advertising vacancies on relevant internet job boards
- Source candidates using a variety of methods including advertising, online job board searches, networking, referrals
- Screen candidates by conducting initial telephone interviews to ascertain suitability for role etc.
- Arranging interviews

Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience working in a corporate Human Resources environment. Experience should include high volume recruitment roles and generalist/employee relations duties.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a Related Field and PHR certification is a plus
- Exceptional recruiting aptitude and an excellent working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and recruiting through social media
- Strong organizational, time management and process management skills necessary to maintain high-volume workload
- Understanding of EEO/Affirmative Action, OFCCP and Federal/State HR and employment laws
- Strong business acumen, including solid problem solving skills, critical thinking and self-initiative
- Proven ability to take initiative, use consultative skills and build strong, productive, trusting relationships
- Excellent systems aptitude including strong computer skills and experience using HR management systems (Applicant tracking systems, HRIS systems, etc.)
- Excellence in verbal and written communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Must perform well under pressure, embrace change, and maintain a high level of productivity in a continually changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively

Human Resources Generalist 1

The Human Resources Generalist I is responsible for performing HR related duties at a professional level and is responsible for overseeing specific functions of Human Resources. Areas of responsibility will include a combination of responsibilities related to Employee Relations, Performance Management, Recruiting, Staffing, and Compensation or a combination of responsibilities related to Benefits, Wellness, Workers Compensation and Compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following-
Policy Administration
- Interpret and implement Company policies under the direction of the Plant Human Resources Manager.
- Participate in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures. Identify opportunities when policies may need to be updated or new ones developed.
- Maintain company compliance with labor laws including wage and hour, EEO, unemployment compensation, worker's compensation and other applicable state and federal laws.
- Audit Plant performance reviews to ensure compliance to current policy.
Recruiting and Retention
- Work with department managers/supervisors and the onsite staffing agency to recruit and select qualified applicants for plant hourly positions, maintain order tracking and fulfillment rates, and ensure staffing agency is fulfilling the terms of our agreement.
- Oversee the complete hiring process, which includes developing sources of qualified applicants, evaluating applicant qualifications, conducting screening interviews, and conducting reference checks and that all appropriate pre-employment testing is conducted.
- Conduct an effective new hire orientation to foster positive attitude towards company goals. Ensure all new manufacturing employees complete the orientation within the required period of time.
Wage and Salary Administration
- Appropriately answer policy questions regarding topics like merit increases, promotions, etc. Demonstrate sound judgement and escalate the question or concern to the Plant Human Resources Manager when appropriate.
- Familiar with the Job Evaluation process and reviews changes/redlines of job descriptions, make recommendations to Management/Supervisory team regarding the process as appropriate. Complete all necessary documentation for a position evaluation to the Plant Human Resources Manager for review and submission to the Compensation Committee.
- Administer performance review programs by auditing reviews for manufacturing employees and coaching managers in the delivery of feedback.
- Review all wage adjustments ensuring they are in compliance with policies and escalates exceptions to the Plant Human Resources Manager as appropriate.
Worker's Compensation
- Manage claims process with the adjuster.
- Maintain timely and effective communication with Occupational Medicine providers.
- Engage with injured worker on a regular basis and ensures restrictions, if any, are understood.
- Work with Safety Department on Return to Work program, creates and maintains Transitional Work Agreements (TWAs).
Compliance
- Administer eVerify program for the Plant.
- Ensure required postings are displayed properly at all Plant locations.
- Audit timekeeping reports from supervisors, ensuring compliance with meal breaks, penalties, etc.
Benefit Administration
- Work with the Corporate Benefits Team and the Plant Human Resources Manager on communicating benefit information to manufacturing employees.
- Effectively answer questions regarding our health and wellness plans, including assistance with eligibility issues, claims resolution, etc. and is the recognized subject matter expert at the Plant.
- Participate in the planning of Open Enrollment for benefits and 401(k) and is responsible for coordinating and leading the process at the Plant.
- Participate in the planning of Wellness events and leads the communication of wellness related topics at the Plant.
- Conduct a timely and effective Benefits and 401(k) Orientations for newly eligible employees.
- Responsible for the absence management program at Plant .
Employee Relations
Review and approve warning notices pertaining to attendance for manufacturing employees. May review performance or policy related warnings under the direction of the Plant Human Resources Manager
- Review resignations and related documentation, and conduct a thorough exit interview to determine reasons behind separations.
- Administers Employee Engagement Survey process for the Plant
